Financial Times investment editor John Authers interviewed Jim Rogers in Seoul, Korea to get his current view on the world economy, Obama, China, and the failures of regulators. Below are notes to the second part in which Jim covers the President-Elect Obama.
Notes:
- Obama has said he will tax capital and protect American workers
- Covered most of his shorts in mid-October due to “selling climax”
- Markets will rally for a while but “its not over”
- So far politicians are making it worse not better
- Buy things that fundamentals are unimpaired (commodities)
- Commodities bull market is still there
Memorable Quote:
“Protectionism and taxing of Capital what kind of disaster do you need to know”
